If you like hiking and nature, and you are looking for a quiet place to enjoy pleasant walks, we propose some hiking trails from Kikopark Rural<\/strong> that you will surely love.<\/p>\n

In Kikopark Rural we love nature and everything it has to offer. We enjoy it and the activities <\/a>it allows us to do, such as rafting, paddle SUP, canoeing, canyoning …. But today we are going to focus on the different routes and trails<\/strong> that we can do from the campsite<\/strong>, and that allow us to know and enjoy this unique location<\/a>.<\/p>\n

First of all, we have to talk about the Contreras reservoir<\/strong>, which surrounds us and serves as a stage for some of our water activities. From the campsite we can take two different trails that take us to the reservoir<\/strong> in just over 10 minutes walk. The first one, without being a marked trail, takes us behind the campsite to the water, where we can enjoy a nice view of the reservoir from a different point of view. Here it is especially recommended to see the sunrise and sunset; you will not forget it!<\/p>\n

On the other side of the campsite, leaving it by following a path next to a field of olive trees, we can take the PR-CV 174.1 trail <\/strong>which, in ideal conditions, would take us to the village of Villargordo del Cabriel, passing through the salt flats and the Mogorrito<\/em><\/strong>. This route also coincides with part of the ornithological trail Umbr\u00eda del Molino-Horno Ciego<\/em>, which practically surrounds the campsite.<\/p>\n

Ornithology lovers can also enjoy beautiful trails from the campsite.<\/h4>\n

Opposite the campsite, going into the pine forest through the mountains, the Umbr\u00eda del Molino-Horno Ciego<\/em> ornithological trail<\/strong> is an excellent option to enjoy spectacular views of the Contreras reservoir and the natural landscape that surrounds it. This path links the Umbr\u00eda del Molino<\/em> area, where you can enjoy magnificent views of the reservoir, with Villargorgo del Cabriel, passing through the Horno Ciego<\/em>.<\/p>\n

This route can be done all in one day, or in parts in different days. Our recommendation: take it easy and enjoy the views, its flora and fauna<\/strong>… Furthermore, if you like ornithology, you can learn a lot about the birds of our environment. Throughout the trail there are stakes with photos and names of the birds in the area<\/strong>, and a QR code to access all the information of each bird and even their song. How many will you be able to identify?<\/p>\n

Regarding Umbr\u00eda del Molino<\/em>, it can also be reached by following the PR-CV 174 trail<\/strong>, which, once again, starts from the village. On this occasion, you will walk along a forest track where you will have, on one side, pine trees and bushes<\/strong> and, on the other side, olive groves and vineyards<\/strong>, very abundant in the whole area of Utiel-Requena. Halfway you will pass by the campsite gate and continue towards the Umbr\u00eda del Molino<\/em> Panoramic viewpoint<\/strong> to have excellent views of the reservoir.<\/p>\n

All these routes can be done on foot from the campsite, without the need to go anywhere. But if you have a vehicle and want to know more about the Natural Park of the Hoces del Cabriel<\/em><\/a>.<\/h4>\n

Los Cuchillos del Cabriel<\/em><\/p><\/div>\n

Just 15 minutes driving, you will arrive at the parking lot of the Route of the Trenches, from where you can take different routes. First, the Route of the Trenches <\/strong>from the War of Spanish Independence and the Spanish Civil War, among others. Also\u00a0the Cuchillos trekking trail<\/em><\/strong> is a must, to see the most famous rock formations of the park. The viewpoint of Pe\u00f1as Blancas <\/em><\/strong>offer great\u00a0views of the Cuchillos<\/em> and the river. The\u00a0 Sierra del Rubial hiking trail<\/strong><\/em>, about 16 km. long and circular, for the trekking lovers. Etc., etc. And, of course, without forgetting the Contreras dam and the Cabriel river<\/strong>, which can also be reached by car in a short time. Ther you will be able to take a swim, but only if you like freezing water!<\/p>\n
