The Contreras reservoir, with its more than 2,700 hectares, supplies water to the J\u00facar-Turia canal, which supplies drinking water to the city of Valencia. It is located on the Cabriel River, the natural boundary between the provinces of Valencia and Cuenca. Despite what it may seem, its waters are clear and turquoise<\/strong>, fresh and clean.\u00a0 Therefore, it is an ideal place to practice water sports such as paddle SUP<\/a> or canoeing<\/strong>, being especially recommended for beginners and families with children.<\/p>\n

In addition, this area offers multiple hiking trails with which to get into the Natural Park of Hoces del Cabriel. From Kikopark Rural there are trekking routes<\/strong> of different types and difficulties. If you are looking for easy trails to enjoy with children, there are several paths that go down to the reservoir, where you can take a relaxing dip before returning to the campsite. For ornithology lovers, there are also routes with which to learn about the fauna of the area, with explanatory signs and very well signposted.<\/p>\n

From the neighboring town of Villargordo del Cabriel, you can also reach, this time by car, the beginning of other routes with which to enter the Natural Park of Hoces del Cabriel<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

You must visit the ‘cuchillos’, the most characteristic rock formations of the park; and, of course, the River Cabriel<\/strong>, where you can also go rafting<\/strong> <\/a>with Kikopark<\/p>\n
